Saving Lives, One Child at a Time

In a world where healthcare access often depends on financial means, congenital heart disease poses a daunting challenge for economically disadvantaged families. This condition, where a child is born with an underdeveloped heart, brings significant health risks and financial burdens.
The Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Mumbai stands as a beacon of compassion, treating infants with congenital heart disease free of cost. Each surgery, costing between $1,700 and $5,800 USD, is provided at no charge, including free accommodation for parents and children during the treatment period.
Moved by this noble cause, the Scorpio India CSR Team partnered with Rotary Foundation India to sponsor 2.5 million Rs (about $29,000 USD), funding 16 heart surgeries in 2024. The team’s visit to the hospital was a humbling experience, witnessing the immense joy and relief of parents whose children received a new lease on life.
For Scorpio India, this initiative goes beyond philanthropy; it reflects their commitment to community welfare. Such efforts demonstrate how corporate responsibility can profoundly impact lives, fostering hope and healing for those in need. These children’s recovery stories inspire a broader movement towards compassionate, accessible healthcare for all.
Donate Blood, Share Life
SMM employees donate their blood to save the children.
In July 2024, Scorpio India organized a Blood Donation Drive in collaboration with Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital to help with their life-saving heart surgeries.
Our initiative aimed to support these critical surgeries through voluntary blood donations, highlighting the power of collective effort in saving lives.
The drive saw an overwhelming response, with over 80 employees coming forward to donate blood and contribute to this noble cause. Through their generosity, our team demonstrated the true spirit of compassion and community, making a meaningful impact on the lives of children in need.
